    I get that a lot, but as you learn more you can actually do quite a lot with practice & skill :bananadance:. I'm 2wd with no locker & I wheel at a lot of different places.
    A couple specific places Cleghorn Ridge, up in the mountains that has a main road that is easy to do with multiple roads that spit off & rejoin the main road of varying difficulty, Hungry Valley OHV is another nice place of varying difficulty where the trails are labeled and rangers can provide you a map with where everything is and of it's difficulty. There's also a variety of trails in Big Bear of varying difficulty. Not to mention various fire roads throughout the state.
    You should be fine at the KOH event, it is out in Johnson Valley and a good majority of the place is hard pack however you do have to keep your eye open for the soft stuff. Granted there is a bunch of major rock crawling but there's nothing forcing you to go into that. I've been there once before & I had a blast, it's really open allowing you to make your own path. You should be A okay going to that event, especially since you'll be with other who will help you out if the need arises. Ocotillo Wells is mostly compact with various rock crawling places and soft stuff that requires 4wd.

    Im just trying to find more places, any recomemdations are helpful, i know tons of people who like to crawl there jeeps and have plenty of trails that they go to for that.
    Trail riding is cool and all but im looking for some wide open space where i can really open up and not worry about "climbing over this rock" or "getting up this muddy hill". Nothing wrong with it but i want to go a fast.
    TLDR: I wanna go fast:burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber:

    For open area to smash the throttle, Johnson Valley & Ocotillo Wells definitely foot the bill :D

    Thats what i like to hear, open ended desert with nothing to get stuck on, only thing that will stop you is breaking something.

    You can build something simple out of 2x4's and plywood.

    Welcome from a fellow 2wd :wave:
    Plenty of 2wd stuff around.
    Just went to Superstition, and while you need to drive carefully when on the deep sand, totally 2wd safe.
    Idyllwild is 2wd friendly, Joshua Tree, Big Bear, Johnson Valley, Ocotillo Wells, Rohwer, Cleghorn... I'm sure there's more places just can't think of them at the moment.
    BUT these places all have 4x4 sections, 4x4 trails, lots to do but also a lot of places you could get stuck if you get on the wrong trail. It's best to go out with a buddy. Follow this thread and Wheeler's Anonymous spur the moment trips pop up all the time.

    They said they have to get the foreman involved because there's no recall or TSB out for it. I called about 2 hours ago and they said they probably are going to keep it overnight and give me a rental, which I'm hoping translates to they're going to replace the pump.
