I have personally rebuilt 3 3vze motors and have done just HGs on 5 others. My friends keep falling for cheap 3vze trucks/4runners.

My work truck is a 5vze swapped 3vze truck.

    I would take a 200k 5vze over a 100k 3vze any day.

If you absolutely have to own a 3vze truck you need to abandon the POS crossover pipe and either cut and rotate the flange to make the passenger mani dump straight down and then build a crossover pipe under the trans, or just go with aftermarket headers. That will keep the HGs alive.

The 92 has 300K miles on it so I guess I should throw that out the window.

I like the body of the 92 though

I can't speak to the 3.0, I had the 22re which has an incredible reputation....If you stay on top of the timing chain guides....

I believe the 22re is how Toyotas trucks got thier reputation.

That taco looks super clean. Basically a half new truck. Even if it didn't have an engine id go for it. Could swap a 95-97 front end on there to get more of the older look you like.

3.0 V6's are hit and miss, I've owned a few (89 and 93 t4r) and worked on hundreds. As a package with the generation of truck they were in I think they are junk.

No power, headgasket leaks, torsion bar front end on the 4runners and Pickups make for a lack luster truck compared to the older trucks and newer 3.4 tacomas.

I'd rather have a 4.0 Jeep with more options to modify and less headaches ( I had a 99 Jeep as well )
