I have the iphone 7 and would like to take advantage of the qi charging in the new truck. Which case are you guys using and does it work well?

I have a six plus with a little stick on adapter thing I got from Amazon. I think was around ten bucks. I don't know if it's the size of my phone or what. I could only get it work once and never again. It's so much easier just to use a cable. At least with my truck/phone combo that qi charging thing is a pos.

In my experience if your phone didn't come with wireless charging it is for a reason. It doesn't have the capability to charge on the trickle available from wireless charging. I have a Nexus 6 (that monster sized Android phone) and it works great in the charger. I place it buttons towards me face up in the passenger side corner. On more than one occasion I have been bluetooth streaming and watched the phone fill all the way up so the second green light on the pad lights up. I really appreciate this feature in the truck.

Charges. Can't remember the last time I used a cable to charge. Just set it on a Qi pad and it's fine. I have one at my work desk, one on the kitchen side counter where all our charging stuff is, and one on the bedroom dresser.

I've been pleased with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HM72QQY/

Needs to be plugged into a 1.5A or better USB source to work properly though.
