    The Army has only choose who will produce it, the details are still being worked out:

    Sig Sauer's P320 pistol is believed to be the model on which the new handgun will be based. The Army is seeking certain modifications that are not being made public.

    Given how many rounds that will go through these babies and the Army never replacing barrels it will be a thrown weapon in a couple of years again.
