My lil Pony '97 Tacoma - Help with my wheel/tire selection pls pls pls

Hola all, so I finally am fulfilling the bucket list entry of owning a lil pick up, and making it my own like my old friends did back in high school! I recently purchased a '97 Tacoma since cab with 148k miles! I slapped a 3/4 lowering kit, I wanted to put on smoothies on 15x5 front and 15x8 back with the BF Goodrich wide white wall radial for that beach cruiser look. Here is my problem and confusion - I just got off the phone with America Tires who said that that tire will not fit the truck, won't handle the load and won't be safe! huh?

In the midst of the mass amount of info on this site, I had a hard time finding what others that run the djm 3/4 lowering kit on a basic Taco, what wheel and tire sizes work?

I really appreciate the help and direction and time!

Any input any one? I've been going cross eyed reading through the wheel & tire section. Soon I'll be called Coker tire to speak with them regarding fitment and getting the Artillery wheels I want with some wide white walls. I think with 15" wheels and the wide white wall the gaps will be filled. Any feedback is appreciated!
