Man when I traded in my chevy sonic, I owed $16,000 on it, it was worth $5000. And that was the highest offer out of 4 places and negotiating.

Friends don't let friends buy chevys

Looking at getting at 2017 TRD OR in magnetic gray with the manual transmission and tow package. Current quote i have from this dealer is 32248 +TTL. This being SoCal the TTL fees are going to run me a good 3k putting me at 35 and change OTD. Thoughts on this deal? I think at only a little bit over the invoice price on the master list ($30642) with the tow package included its not to bad a deal.

So I know it was mentioned that costco auto is a joke, but dealers who go through costco must honor their pricing right?

So if you were to order a rare vehicle is that the case, like a raptor or trd pro?

Just wondering I've already bought my truck. Lol

When I explored that option I was shown the Costco sheet for that month. They differentiated by model; Sport, Pro, SR5, etc. At that time (end of August) the Pro was specifically excluded from the program.

I got my 17 Sport M/T w/ tow package and all weather floor mats for $32,400. $34,400 OTD. NY has less dealer fees I guess, but I'd say $32,248 is a solid price.

What's up TW! Future (hopefully) Tacoma owner here. Currently in Vegas and I'm looking around at 2017 Tacomas. I've negotiated an offer of about $40,499 OTD on a white 2017 TRDOR DCSB 4x4 with premium and tech pkg + JBL, bed step, tonneau cover, and tow pkg. Does this sound like a decent deal? From what I've been reading on here it isn't bad. Sounds like MSRP or below is good. This one is being finalized at the factory but has a VIN already.

I'll be trading in my loaded 2014 Ford Focus ST and they'll give me 15.5k which comes to 16.25k with tax credit. I owe about 14.6k so I'll be getting something out of it at least. And I'll be doing 1k down + 500 military discount.

Mind sharing what dealership and price for truck minus ttnl? That is what I am looking for and am trying to accurate Houston area numbers. I was quoted for same with tonneau and bed lights and floor mats for 37 something before ttnl.

Hello everyone, new member, first post.

Headed to the dealership tonight to sign for a...

2017 TRD OR 4x4 DCLB w/ Tow, Tech, and Premium with JBL. No other random features.

    It's currently priced at 40.1K.

What's the most reasonable I can drop on the dealership and stand a fighting chance? This is in Southern California. Is 41k OTD possible living in SoCal? Can I do better? Is that not even reasonable?

I should also get the $500 for military thing but I'm not going to mention that til we solidify a price so I do have that in my corner too.

Thanks so much for all your help in advance!

Looks like you and I are in the same boat kinda. Though I am over in Vegas. I'm getting mine for just over 40k OTD. Similar set up but a SB. Tonneau cover, bed step, tint and paint protection.

Is there any way you can get to Vegas? It might be slightly cheaper but probably not enough to justify the cost of getting here.

I looked at every dealership in Vegas actually! Unfortunately none of them even had what I wanted and I didn't feel like having a dealer 3+ hours away pulling strings in case anything went south.

I'm going to shoot for 41 OTD. 42 OTD is okay and 43 OTD is worst case scenario.

What's the MSRP and negotiated price? OTD price means nothing without letting us know what the breakdown of tax rates are, dealer fees...etc.

Going off of the USAA car buying service, it looks like the MSRP on what I'm getting is $40,697. Dealership has a paint protection that they put on on the entire vehicle as well which is about $500 or so. Looks like $38,682.44 + taxes and fees which is $2,764.59 - $1k deposit and it comes to $40,447.03 Due On Delivery. The taxes and fees portion includes the doc fee, title, and the acid etching on the glass for theft.

    499 doc fee
    29.25 Title
199 VTR (glass etching that is req in Vegas... or so the dealership says. I'll see if they can provide proof)
    Sale tax is roughly $2,740

Why not just just use the info we already have right here on TW for both Invoice and MSRP of trucks and options: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-tacoma-model-package-option-costs-master-list.388345/

Meh. A bottle of Blackfire Wet Diamond is $32 on Amazon. Next you'll say they're offering to spray a $20 bottle of 303 Fabric Guard on all the seats for $400. ;)

    $21 https://www.amazon.com/Vehicle-Etching-Security-Blue-Planet/dp/B004EMC1CK
