Agreed, but it requires crossing the county plus an international boarder to make it me. What's the likelihood the grille would survive the trip?

Do you have a pic of the rear of your truck?! Your truck is a spitting image of mine only I am missing the pro grill and the pro tail lights. Being that the damn grill is so pricey thought about getting the tails first but was curious to how they looked!

    Hi all!

Quick question.. just finished installing the Pro grill on my '17 BBP Sport. No issues at all. I have 10 leftover small screws which are not used on the Pro grill. They are from the outer chrome grill bezel that goes around the chrome insert from when it was removed from the main grill. I noticed that the bezel only has 8 screw holes which means I may have removed 2 extra screws? The grill is installed back on the truck, feels firm, and looks great. Does anyone know what the extra 2 screws are for and if I need to reinstall them?

    Thanks!

I see the 8 holes in the outer bezel to hold it to the painted grill so that accounts for most of them. My confusion is because I have 10 screws removed.. I'm trying to figure out where those went and if I need to reinstall them.

Same exact thing I did. I ended up with two extra screws that I could not find a place for.

Ha so I'm not the only one! You don't need any of the 10 on the Pro grill, right? So they're just leftovers? The bezel has 8 holes so I was really confused how I had 10 screws left and what the other 2 were holding on.

I'm dumb, I finally get what you're saying. Thanks! I also have OCD so I took the grill off and found where they go. I went ahead and put them back in and reinstalled the grill. It took 5 minutes. Not sure if it really matters but glad I found their home.

So has anyone figured out what those slots are for? Up under they "OYO" there appears to be some sort of bracket thingy.

That's what happens when you screw, you end up with more if you are not careful.

So far the general consensus is future adaptive cruise control sensor mount. I would personally like to see a freakin' laser mounted there, but that's just me.;)

Finally installed my TRD Pro grill!

Paid $200.63 after Florida sales tax (half of dealer cost so $187.50 since dealer cost is $375 FYI) as a part of the deal when I bought the truck on 12/22/16. Grill arrived on 1/5/17 but with two broken tabs (BTW I think they fixed the packaging finally so this should stop happening). I returned it but they then told me it's backordered until end of February... Parts manager finally said I can use this one for now until the new one arrives so I picked it up last night. I used some Loctite for plastics and it was fixed with no problems (probably not required anyways since there are so many tabs). Tip: when you are removing the 8 screws for the chrome bezel from the color outer grill, make sure you leave the bottom 2 screws for the two outer grill pieces. I removed them by accident. The other 8 screws are not needed with the Pro grill. If the dealership gives me the new grill, I'll likely sell it new in the box (keep an eye out!). If they say they need the old one back, I'll likely just tell them it's fine so that I don't have to go through the hassle and because the 'broken' one works fine.

Darker tint coming this weekend! And removal of chrome Tacoma door badges and replacement of the bedside decals with all-black ones coming next weekend!

    Only 2 screws you keep

My grille from Cochrane Toyota got delivered today all in one piece (and with a black fleece blanket). Truck is currently in the body shop though from getting rear ended two weeks ago, so I'll install the grille next week or weekend most likely.

Got my grill from Cochrane Toyota yesterday, with grey fleece blanket also, nice touch. Grill was installed yesterday with no issues in installation or shipment, love the look.

Anyone painted the "TOYOTA" letter white for an old school look? I'm considering doing it.
