    hello

i have a 2000 ex cab TRD tacoma with the early (thin) fender flares.

where i live the tires can't stick out past the fender flares for safety check requirements.

anyway i have a set of 15x8 with 4.5 inches BS on 31x10.5 and they sit perfect. right to the outermost part of the flare but not sticking out past.

my question is i just picked up a set if 2016 TRD rims 16x7 w/4.5BS i believe.

If i wanted the stock 2016 TRD rims to sit at the same width as my current setup what wheel spacer size would i need?

my calculations come out to a 1" spacer.

    15x(8" - 4.5"BS) = 3.5" from hub to outside of wheel = perfect fit

    16x(7 - 4.5"BS) = 2.5" from hub to outside of wheel = 1" short of the 15x8 w/4.5"BS.

Is that a correct assumption? if so what are the best 1" spacers to get? should i get lug centric or can the stock 2016 rims take hub centric spacers?

thanks for any help or replies
