So the info is not that it is not recommended, it just cant BE recommended? The site doesnt clarify if the statement is from Bilstein, OME, or headstrong, hope i didnt offend, just wasnt clear on the statement.

I have 5100s @0 with 885s now on a preruner, assembled by Headstrong. Im adding a steal bumper, alum skids and winch, trying to figure out what the next steps to maintain 3 inches of lift and ride quality. 885 and 887 are both under 600 lbs. 886 arent recommended with 5100s so im thinking some kings with 700lb or icons with 650 lb.

 

After all... its all about the customer and what he wants. You start telling a customer no they will just go somewhere that will say yes....

When it breaks i will probably punch myself and say i should have listened.. but untill then ride it out!!

Not at all, I just wanted to provide clarification.
Have you considered adjusting the 5100 up to the 0.85 after the add ons. The 885 were designed to support the weight of the 4x4 double cab, so being that you are a prerunner and weigh about 200 lbs less up front you might land at about the 3" mark without making the ride too stiff. This might be another option for you before deciding to spend more $$$ on COs.

 

Hadnt thought about that. Ultimately planning a 4x4 conversion, trying to plan ahead. If that stalls, moving up to .85 is worth a try

 

I know a few guys that can help with the shock settings. They helped me with my 5100s.

I need to go get my skids from austin. Picking up the rear bunper this weekend. Im gonna need help with the front bumper when it arrives im sure. Thing is gonna weigh 200 or so lbs with the winch mounted

 

I'd be down to hang out and help with what I can. I probably wont have anything to do to my own truck but working on cars and hanging with good people is always a good time!

I got the smitty xrc comp 9.5k w synth rope when it was on sale for 350 out the door

Bumper is 110 lbs i think, winch has gotta be at least 50. Then the d rings, fog pods, and 20 inch single row light bar. 170lbs or so

 

I have the 520xl, it fits perfectly in the center console cubby
