I've been trying to sell some nearly new wheels and tires (about 3500 miles) and apart from one guy with no money and some Craigslist scammers, I've had no real interest. Its nice, high end stuff that prices new at over $2200 and I've been asking $1550 or best offer (now $1425 on Ebay) and again, not even getting offers and its been almost 2 weeks. I've listed what I have below. Do you guys think I'm priced wrong or am I approaching this wrong? I had a post here but wound up putting the wheels back on the truck since the tires do way better in snow. Obviously, that negates me reposting the classified here since they are back on the truck, but I have them on CL, Ebay, another Tacoma forum, and a Facebook Tacoma parts sale page.

Am I missing something or is this just not a desirable combo I have?

    Setup:
20x9 fuel Recoil rims with Dick Cepek 285/55/20 Fun Country tires.

I think its all about the sizing.
Wheels are nice, 20" and 55 tires - not so much for my taste. GLWS

That being said, someone out there likes this kind of setup. At that point, he/she will negotiate for a lower price

That's a unique combo of wheels and tires, probably won't appeal to the broader audience.
May have a better chance separating them and selling individually.

mine either, hence the sale, thanks! Question, rims only are a little north of $1100 new, how would you price just those for sale with the mileage I have on them? They are flawless condition at this point.

I suggest you do what Batman suggested, split them up and sell. Try and find similar wheels selling on CL and price them close to that but make sure you leave room for haggling. I also suggest that when you post on CL, make tags/keywords for Chevy trucks - IIRC, we share the similar bolt pattern ... not sure about center bore though

Not sure where you are located, but there is snow in the picture so I'm guessing someplace that gets snow. One reason you aren't getting much interest is it's the wrong time of year to try and sell tires. Spring and summer should bring a bit more interest if you are willing to hold on to them that long

Maybe advertise on Tundra & 4 Runner forums as well? I see 20" rims on Tundras a lot more than Tacomas. Not sure if the backspacing is the same but someone will know.

You can always look to see what they have sold for previously. I've sold a lot of higher end wheels (3-4k) and typically take a couple of months to sell as they have a smaller market than wheels 1/2 or 1/4 of their price.

Those are Miami style wheels!!! I've seen a lot of 20's around here.

Maybe add the post to some Craigslist cities further away from you too. And my buddy has been using OfferUp, still with spam and people with no money, but has sold a few sets of very used wheels and tires in the past few months. I've still never used OfferUp though.

I've heard of OfferUp but never checked it out. Maybe I will, thanks. I'll also look into listing on other CL pages, just didn't want to seem odd since Im out of state. Thanks again.

Beat me to it. Here in MA you'd not get as much now as if you wait a couple of months. Still gotta find the right buyer of course..

When you list them don't list them strictly for fitting tacomas. The 6 x 5.5 bp is found on a lot of chevy / gmc / Nissan trucks and suvs.

If anyone else wonders, it looks like tundras are out (older one's have the right bolt pattern but 110 bore). 4 Runners on the other hand do appear to work with these as do some Chevy's and a few others that have te same lug pattern but smaller bore than the 108 we all have.

Older tundras have the same center bore and bp as the Tacoma. 07 and up is when they switched to the 5 x 150 bp and 110 centerbore
