I replaced the rear leaves via the recall, did not notice much difference. Just replaced the replacements with a set of 5 Hellwig 1906 rear leaves. Much better!

For anyone who's interested, I figured out the skid plate delima. As we discused here before the vendors fab their skids off a V6 m/t, none offer them for a 2.7 . Through my search I found only 2 vendors who would work with me Pelfreybuilt, and SOS cocepts. All the other vendors either flat refused to entertain making them or never returned my efforts to contact them. I went with SOS because they are who made my front bumper and I took advantage of their sale they had. I ordered a full set of 3/16 steel with the oil drain hole delete as it's not in the same location as a V6. He got them to me in 4 weeks which I thought was pretty good. I test fit them to see where the differences were and what wouod have to be mosified. The IFS skid bolted rt up. The Trans skid, however, I had to cut and stretch 2". The T-case skid bolted up after drilling the 4 holes in the frame. So the only mods I had to do on their skids was cut the oil drain hole in the correct location and stretch the mid skid 2".

NOTE: Yu could order the T-case skid with the bump-out for the exhaust crossover delete as we don't have one.

Interesting, I had this same issue. Managed to take care of it with some spacers on the tranny skid.

Apparently most vendrs make their IFS skids very similar and they'll bolt up. The trans and t-case skids are a different story and I'm sure even that will change depending on automatic or manual trans. All in all I was very pleased with SOS product. Communication with them is a little different but I felt he teated me well.

I was reading through some of your build thread I'll finish later. I have ST Maxx in 255/80/17's how does the truck handle the 285's they've got to be heavy as hell my 255's are 87 pounds per tire and wheel

The weight is very noticeable even coming from 285 Duratracs. That being said it is a dog regardless and I have been happy with the ST Maxx in every way on road, in the snow and especially off-road. In Moab I had them down to 10-12 psi and watched as they wrapped around the rocks without any issue. A regear is definitely in the future to get a little pep back under the skinny pedal.

    Thank you!
I really like having the unpainted flares and bumper when driving through branches.

Mine are painted. I like them both ways especially deending on the color. Like with mine being white it doesn't show scratches bad either. Alot of folks are saying now they don't like the black wheels anymore either that they bend into the tires. Mine are black as well and I like them with the solid color trucks like yours and mine especially with the black trim they look killer. I mean hey black wheels matter!
