The seat-back of my front passenger seat has about a quarter inch of "wiggle" to it even when it's in the "locked" position. I've played with all of the levers but no matter how I lock the seat-back into place it still has that wiggle to it. Seems to have something to do with the fact that you can fold the seat-back down to make a "table" (who the hell thought THIS was a needed feature????)

It's annoying the shit out of my fiance so wanted to see if anyone else had this issue, and if there was a fix out there. A quick search didn't yield much.

    Thanks guys.

Further searching has lead me to believe there's nothing that can be done about this...great...gonna have to listen to complaints about this for the rest of my truck's life :bored:

If anyone has come up with a creative solution to this problem I am all ears!!! Going to pull the seat next weekend and see if I can't shim/zip tie/washer the thing into place without any play. Disappointed in toyota for 1) adding this STUPID USELESS option to a pickup truck and 2) incorrectly engineering this STUPID USELESS option.

Got it too. It's the seat rattle feature that's part of the SR5 package.

Have you experienced the defroster duct dash rattle yet? Also a commonly installed option along with the steering column clunk and hood gap whistle...

OR has the seat wiggle as well! And the stock highway speed shimmy helps accentuate the wiggle.

So far I've only experienced the door kazoo option, but I fixed (temporarily at least) that with some WD-40.

Fortunately my seat isn't making an actual rattling noise, it's just rattling my fiance which is resulting in her rattling from the mouth

Anyone able to solve the "play" that is in the seat-back adjustment lever? That seems to be the issue, the lever doesn't lock tight enough to prevent the seat back from wobbling...

Going to try what the last poster in that thread did, although that seems to solve more of a sound issue rather than the seat physically moving a quarter inch either way.

My driver seat has just started popping and slight movement side to side when making right and left turns. I'm out of warranty so I'll have to see if it's something I can fix.

Don't forget the frames that come with pre installed petina for the rustic look.

Bumper, Winch, 315s, Sliders, OME HD lift, Custom rear swingout, roof rack, drawers, way too much to list.
Some BMWs had an issue with seat bushings going bad causing a slight rocking when stopping/accelerating. I'm not sure if Tacomas have them or not though.
