Was surfing the Subie board and like Mike said, it was the older cars with the issue. But what car doesn't have issues these days? Don't think there are any

I think a subbie with a teardrop is a great setup. Saw a lot of that combo in the Smokies last summer, along with a lot of Tacoma's.

 

Like I said I have no info on the 6. The four just likes to pee once in a while according to my co worker.
I keep stuff for a long time too. So I know where your coming from. My last truck lasted 18 years. It rusted away. Not due to mech. Issues.

 

Thank you all! I just wanted to share what a joy it was to meet him. I think when we were young, we were a lot more toloerated by the older folks than I can tolerate the younger crowd today. From what I've seen from some of the hires at work, it's troublesome. I hope they grow out of it so there are some good younger people when we are 90.

That's another part of the trend with Casitas and teardrops...Tacomas. Men tend to drive more Tacomas while women tend to drive more Subaru wagons. More women with Casitas while men tend to lean more toward teardrops. Women seem to have a better setup and look alot less like the Beverly Hillbillies when they first pull up.

 

You can spend a ton of money on a teardrop. Almost to much IMO.
My buddy got a full size camper (used of course) for the price of a cheap teardrop.
I love the teardrop idea. But you really need to examine what your using it for.
Myself if it was me I would be trying to rent a teardrop for the weekend and examine what goes along with it. I'm sorry but not enough room IMO for doggies. For a weekend Warrier hell yea but for me not a cross country deal.

 

As crafty as you are, Mike, you can build one and a whole lot cheaper with what you want in it for far less than what's on the market. And make it the size you want. There are tons of sites for home builts that can give you plenty of ideas.

 

Oh yea.. Like I posted before of the homemade slide in for utility trailers.

Good day all, off to services and then to FIL to lay some tile.

That would be pretty sweet! I think if my old 21' would have had a slide, I'd probably still have it. It was fine for just me, but 2nd person made it pretty tight quarters.
