Hey all...new to TW but have been looking for a long time.

I have a 2014 TRD DCLB 4x4. Already have a camper shell, so the weight nearly makes the truck level. I do a lot of road trips and some off-roading for camping / hiking / climbing access. I'm a rock climber and have the back built out for camping.

For the upcoming suspension / wheel & tire mods....looking at putting on 5100's all around with +/- block in the back. Planning on putting on 18x9 Fuel Hostage wheels. I'm stuck on tire size, does anyone have any recommendations / pictures of their similar setup?

Looking at Toyo Open Country AT II (it's my daily driver and work at hospital so have to fit in the parking deck). Possibly 285 65 18 vs 275 65 18 (Open to other recommendations). Love the look of the MT's or other aggressive options but wouldn't be cost / mileage effective for me.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks all.IMG_1880.jpg IMG_3566.jpg IMG_4117.jpg IMG_2409.jpg

Toyo's are great, you'll love em... if you do a lot of off roading you may want to look at 16 or 17 inch wheels. Welcome! :mudding:

@Over da Hill, love your setup. Did you do the spare tire mod running 285 70 17s? I need something that I can also fit a full size spare underneath given my setup. No bed space. I'm not opposed to 17 inch wheels.

No mod on the spare tire. It just barely fit under the bed.

Why not try 265/65/18s? Especially if you're concerned about cost and mileage.

I love the BFG KO2s that's all I run. I get 75K miles out of a set! They ride great and look awesome!

Anyone have thoughts on the Falken Wild Peak AT3W vs the Toyo ATII?

I replaced my old tires with the Toyo Open Country AT 265/70/16 to fit the factory wheels on my 1st gen. Awesome tire. Good tread, looks nice, haven't noticed drastic affect on mileage. I was looking at the BF Goodrich All Terrain as well, but heard they were noisy... keep in mind, I didn't go with them so I can neither confirm or deny that statement. However I can tell you that the Toyo's aren't loud at all. I can hear a slight whine when I'm on the highway, but nothing annoying.
