2005 Tacoma DCSB TRD OR 4x4 - PA/NJ

Hello,

I have been considering upgrading to a full sized truck for a while now, so i want to see what i can get for my truck private party before i consider trade-in.

I purchased the truck completely stock in July of 2015 with approximately 120k miles on it. Since the day i purchased the truck it has performed stellar and never let me down. Currently has 153k on the odometer. Will go up as i still drive it.

At 140k miles, the truck underwent the frame replacement from Toyota, i have all of the paperwork documenting this. This replacement includes:
-New Frame
-New Lower Control Arms
-New Leaf Springs
-New Rear Brake Lines
-New Fuel Lines

The lift and tires were also installed at 140K miles:
-OME 887 Coils
-Bilstein 5100 Shocks at all four corners
-JBA Upper Control Arms
-1.5" Progressive Rear Add-A-Leaf
-285/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers
-17x9 Fuel Hostage Wheels

The truck also has some other misc. mods including:
-OEM Toyota Running Boards
-20% Tinted Windows
-Weathertech Floor Liners
-Pioneer Radio w/ Bluetooth and Touch Screen
-Clazzio Seat Covers

I have always been on top of the maintenance on this truck:
-Full synthetic oil change every 5k miles
-New Pads and Rotors @ 140k miles
-Always washed and waxed

This truck is in excellent condition, but it does have a few very minor dings and scratches that you will find on any truck. The truck was never involved in any accidents.

Price is $16000 obo. Will consider partial trade for a cheap commuter car.

What was the reason for the frame replacement ?

 

Toyota had a huge recall on these trucks for frame rust; which they remedied by replacing the frames. Mine had a tiny surface rust spot on the original frame so they told me I could either get a new frame and a bunch of new components or they would treat the old frame with an anti corrosion compound so I elected to get the new frame.

If you search around on here you will find thousands of others who had the same frame swap done. It's a really common thing for these trucks up north where road salt is used.

 

Ah, I see. I was just asking because I'm fairly new to tacoma/toyota in general.

 

zth25 - This is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm working on selling my 2014 Subaru Forester Touring for about the same price as you're selling yours. I'll keep checking back to see if you still have it for sale. I wouldn't even mind making the trip out there to pick it up. I picked up a Trail Edition 4Runner in Illinois last year. I also lived in Downingtown, PA when I was a teenager, so I'd love to visit again.

 

I've recently seen a 2005 TRD Off Road that didn't have a rear locker. I didn't realize they even sold something like that. Does yours have a rear locker?
