Did my rear diff and transfer case today on my tacoma.

Only got 1.5 qts from the rear diff when I drained it. Need to keep an eye on the level of that fluid.

I drained my transfer case today as well. I only got 2 qts in before it started coming out the fill hole. I thought these transfer case are supposed to hold around 3.5-4 qts?

Having a friend weld a nut on the front diff plugs as the allen plugs are both stripped.

    Hey Trapperr,

Two quarts out of the transfer case is about the capacity of the transfer case. Haynes Manual rates them at 1.2 quarts.

    Good Luck,
    Paul

Thank you! I think I was getting the capacity for the t case confused with the trans/front diff on my girls Subaru. I need more sleep.
