Not enough to have a build thread.
So my truck is very close to stock. 2.5in lift and 285/70/17s. But, like most 4wd owners, I'd like to take her out for some fun. I really don't like playing in the mud (you tear up too many seals) but I'm super down for some snow wheeling, small rocks, dirt, slight creek crossings, etc. I won't back out from some mud, just not into going out and doing donuts all day. Anyone have any suggestions for trails or fun off-roading in California near Sacramento? Ice House Road?

I'm in the same boat. Not quite equipped (yet) to tackle anything too extreme. Take a look at the area between and around Bowman Lake and Jackson Meadows Reservoir. Look at Google Maps to see the roads around the area.

It won't test the limits of your truck, but it's a nice area to explore if you just want to get out and get a little dirty. The roads aren't maintained, so you generally only see utes and trucks. That being said, I have taken a 1988 BMW 528e up to Faucherie Lake without any issues. Just had to go slow.

These vids will give you good idea of the terrain.

This video goes around Bowman and ends at Sawmill Lake. (not me)

    Snow Wheelin' (still not me)
