    2004 thingy
Possibly, just out of fun though.

    Things to consider:

I can't tell how long a battery will last, or how much life is left in it. If it has more than 100k miles consider it a replacement part within the next 50k miles.

Earlier than 2010, if neglected are prone to oil consumption. It is very easy to hide and can be detected on a vehicle inspection.

I've been looking for a Prius just because of the fuel mileage, battery cost is around 2k without labor, used engines are around $1500 but the service history is unknown.

Yeah I've always found that interesting about testing the Prius battery. It either tests "ok" or "fail." No in between.

The one in Littleton is a 2012. I've heard that the 3rd gens (2010-15) are most susceptible to burning oil. This one is a Trim Level 5 (everything but the solar and moonroof) so the creature comforts are there for a daily driver.

I'm also looking at a 2010 in Boulder. Trim Level 1. Needs about $800 worth of work (new headlight assemblies) and needs new tires. It's been well used on the inside too so at least a few hours of my time detailing the hell out of it. He's asking $5500. Kind of hard to pass up.

Hoping a pre-purchase inspection plus a Carfax report will determine if the 2012 is worth negotiating on or just walk away.

I'm fine with that. It would be retribution for Saturday night when my GF and had many laughs at the expense of your bird watching video.

We may have been a tad drunk at the time.

Any of you guys run up Old Stage Road Sunday? I passed a pretty outfitted black taco on Sunday. You and your friend were helping a couple chicks that got stuck on the road after deciding it was a good idea to go up in their Dodge Challenger.
