OP, you going with black or are you color matching that bad boy? :D

Really like it. Keeping that bit of cover under the headlights make a big difference in the overall appearance.

It will be a textured black powder like our Jeep stuff. Really nice contrast and matches well with OEM parts.

Steel. 3/16 center section and winch plate, then 1/8 wings to keep the weight down. All gusseted and ready to beat on :)
I'd say it will be on the market in 4-6 weeks.

The 2017 Tacoma comes in what, just like 7 different colors? These bumpers would be the shit if you offered them Powder coated color matched!

Right up until the time some special snowflake whined that the powder coating was a half shade different than their grille surround or that was shinier/less shiney than the hood or why doesn't it come in chrome or anodized zirconium or...

People that are in the body shop business hate dealing with color match complaints, no fab shop owner in his right mind would consider offering paint to match.

uh huh sure it is. nothing could ever go wrong there.

Case in point: Woman sues McDonalds and wins multi million dollar claim because they sold her hot coffee when she ordered hot coffee

The problem is the key word here "matched".
You would have to call it something such as "color keyed" or something along those lines because as long as you say matched then the customer has the right to have it match.
If you say color keyed or painted bumper then you have more leverage as a fabricator to get by with this.

This thread is awesome evidence as to why it would be hard for us to offer color matched powder coat. Inventory issues are another problem. I don't want to have to stock 7 colors.

    Don't invite GloBear. That guy's a jerk.

I'll have the Taco on the beach at the NJ Jeep Invasion in June. I'm a rebel like that.
