Same here. I'll have plenty of time to save money before I move back to the lower 48 though.

It took a while, but it's on! I got to say I'm super happy with it so far. It's fits the truck great and I already have more use out of the cap as a normal camper.

I stoped by the damn on my drive home for some outdoorsy shots.

So far I have not really noticed the weight compared to the standard Snugtop I had on before, even though this one is heavier. The cab over hasn't given me any noticeable drag or extra noise while driving. I should know after a few fill ups if there is any effects of drag on the gas mileage, and some more freeway driving should give me a better idea of noise.

The lid is secured down with a giant hurricane hinge up front and two latches at the rear. I don't have any opened pics yet since I'm waiting on some stronger gas struts to hold the lid up. The lid is heavier than anticipated so I don't have any fears of this accidentally popping open while driving.

On of my favorite things are all the doors. It makes accessing anything in the camper super easy form any side. There are two sliding windows on the front doors and the back doors are solid. The rear hatch has two windows and open straight up to provide some coverage when it's raining/snowing. Lots of room and ventilation.

Here's a pic from the front. It doesn't stick up too high over the cab and the lines are pretty appropriate for the truck.

    Things left to do are:

    1. Get fabric made for the pop up.
    2. Cushions and covers made.
    3. Wire up the camper.

I thought it was going to have ambulance doors for some reason, but I definitely like the way the back opens up like that. Overall, it looks fantastic!

Thanks! Yes, that was the original plan, but I decide to go this route to get the overhang. I like how my RTT has an overhang and that really helps when it's raining. This should give me the same piece of mind.

Pair that with a Foxwing awning and you'd have a pretty large liveable space when it's raining.
