    Hey folks,

Just hopped out of an Audi S3 and into a brand spanking new Toyota Tacoma. I also own a 2014 FJ Cruiser.

After about 500 miles, here are my thoughts so far.

Toyota nailed the interior. Seats are comfortable and button placement makes sense. No complaints.

The infotainment system blows away everything I've used over the last few years. I love that the home screen allows me to see the radio, navigation, and favorites all in one place. In the Audi, I would have to hit multiple switches and toggle around in order to reach different options.

I've seen a lot of posts regarding issues with the automatic transmission, and if there is a transmission snob on these forums, it's me, coming from one of the best automatic transmissions on the market in the Audi S3. That said, I have not had any issues with gear hunting or abnormal shifts. My only complaint however, is that I've needed to feather the throttle on my commute to work. Essentially, I will hit 65mph, hit a hill, go down to 60mph, and then need to give the truck more gas. On downhill swings, the car will pull to 70mph due to its weight, thus I will decrease pressure on the gas pedal, drop down to 60mph, and need to reengage the gas pedal in order to reach 65 again. This might be completely normal. I don't know, I've never owned a truck before. Also, the FJ has a much better throttle response than the Tacoma. Not sure if it's a gearing issue or what...

Outside of that minor issue, the truck drives and handles great. The backup camera is also clearer than that of the one on my S3.

All that said, my only wish is that the truck was a little more responsive.

Overall though, I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.

I will try and update this again when I hit 1,000 miles.
