You could have a clear bra put on. But it'd be about 500 bucks to cover the front end

I'm worried about the front of the hood where most of the chips would hit. Everything else in front has clear film protection up to the seams so I don't get lines when it's removed. Also clear on mirrors, behind rear wheels and doors cups.

I had even considered having my surround and bumper double sprayed with clear coat for added protection. I already have several very small (if you look for them) chips in my front bumper.

The clear coat would still chip and show up....

If you want to protect the front of your vehicle. Check out 3M Scotchgard kits. But you may want to have it professionally done

Installed my "Tacoma Surveillance System" tonight. It consists of the Toguard Car Dash Cam WiFi 170 from Amazon up front and a Mobius Action Cam with wide angle lens aft. I re-purposed a GoPro clip mount to clip it right to the headliner.

Toguard support is top notch. I had an issue where the Toguard interfered with the DAB radio reception (no weather or FM station information). Their support promptly replied asking if I used the included USB car charger. I was not since I already had one in the center cubby where I ran the cables. When I swapped it out with the adapter that was included with the camera the issue was resolved.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics.

I have the 6mt also. Does the remote start work independently of where the transmission is set or does it not work unless it's left in neutral? Also, what's the ballpark cost? And it sounds like this setup does security as well? Interested to hear how it turns out. Thx

So there is a sequence that needs to happen prior to exiting the truck. The truck has to be left in neutral, with the parking brake set. After that, with the truck still running with the key, prior to opening the door, a button needs to be pressed on the remote. Once you exit the truck, the truck will stay running until you lock the doors, that way it knows it was in neutral when the truck was locked. At that point, you can use remote start. It's supposed to be the safest way to do remote start on a manual. I found a killer deal on eBay, all in for parts(clifford and bypass module), I have $255 into it. I used to install for a living, so I won't have to pay labor, that's usually most of the price that you'd pay a shop. I believe retail for this unit is $800-$900 installed. This does also have a security system.

Have seen a lot of lifted tacos here and read many posts and still opinions are divided...If I decide to lift my 2017 OR Taco, what are the max size tires I can put on it without rubbing? Looking at 265/60/20.

Got my truck back today from the body shop after one long week without her. I got rear ended a couple weeks ago, but all is good because I paid $90 out-of-pocket to get the rear bumper covers paint matched. That job would've been $400-600 (I had already gotten a couple quotes before the accident).

Also installed the TRD Pro Grille.

Electronic controlled Transmission, ECT. changes when your transmission will shift. When on, it will shift at higher rpms.

As stated below. In a nut shell your truck idles higher, so it feels faster and better out of the gate and at almost any speed you cruise at.

Imagine you should be in 5th crusing, well you feel the power of what 4th "would" give you.

    Electronically Controlled Turbo (Transmission) :)
