For the hammock people or future hammock people...

This was in the camping thread and seems to be awesome for getting the right angle every time. I'll probably be weird enough to give it a try tonight. It's setup now and definitely allows me to easily lie at a diagonal and be nice and flat.

For those of you that park in your garage, does your CB antenna hit on the way in/out? My roof line seems to be fairly close the the top of my garage door so I'd think an antenna that extends much above the roof line would get smacked at least twice a day. Seems unadvisable.

My rig lives outside, but when it goes in the garage I have to remove the antenna to prevent it from hitting the door in/out. Just a lil baby garage over here.

I only put my antenna on when hitting the trails. It's off all the other time.

the taco has never seen the inside of my garage,
but back in the day, the Scout used to sit in there, and I would have to grab the antenna and pull it back to get in. Otherwise it would bend and break when I backed it out.
it's ok to bang it or smack it as long as you don't bend it.

It seems like it should. It might be a little trial and error getting the needed length of the ridgeline for your comfort level.

This is about the 83% that he suggested to start with.

Nice, what did you use to make the ridgeline?

It's just some rope that came with a tent or one of the hammocks. It's the perfect length so hopefully i don't need to make it any longer.
