Hey guys. I am interested to hear about good trail riding spots in NW GA if anyone knows of any? I'm Not really into mud bogging or rock crawling... Just good trails with maybe the occasional water crossing. My wife and i have done a lot of the trails in NE GA, like Tray Mtn (pictured below), but are looking for some good spots closer to home. We're between Dallas and Cartersville. Any info would be greatly appreciated and pics are welcomed and appreciated too!

And you are pretty sure of this? How would one who lives in WA know what honey holes were around Dallas GA? I was referring to some close by fire roads or hunting trails... This place is 2 hrs plus from me and i am not really into Commercial Parks but thanks for the thought.

you're going to bite a hand that feeds? I'm not sure what ya mean by commercial; yes it is a park, but if you are looking for just firebreaks than no, AOP is not the place for you. 2 hrs is not a bad drive for one of the best offroad parks around the east.

I only spent 3 years offroading in TN/KY followed by another 1.5 yrs in GA. I had a wealth of information and contacts that I was going to offer but I think you'll be just fine figuring it out on your own  I just moved from GA in December. congrats.

If you dont want advice and help dont post on TW.

I just had this whole response typed out that wasn't reflective of the person that i am.... or at least the person that i try real hard to be...so i deleted it. Thanks for your input. My apologies if i seemed ungrateful. Have fun out west.

I lived out that way from '93 to '97. Some friendly advice that you didn't solicit that i feel obligated to offer anyway.... Watch your tone with the locals. Especially when not behind a keyboard.

Subbed. I'm in Mableton and go to GAtech. Looking to hit some trails and explore before I graduate in May and move. I'll just be in my 01 Expedition though; no Taco for me until after graduation... PM me whenever you're looking to head out somewhere!

Look up the Georgia Traverse. Yes, Tray mountain is a part of that, but the GT links TONS of cool trails across northern Georgia. Water crossings, some technical, but for the most part easy, long, wonderful views AND campsites!! Besides that there is Iron Gap road in Gurley AL... not much on that, however I will be mapping it out come March 11!
