Finally got out of my, unreliable POS, 2003 z71 extended cab GMC Sierra and into a reliable 2011 Toyota Tacoma DCLB. Couldn't be happier! Glad to be a part of this big community of Tacoma owners!

Welcome to TW. Curious though, what made the GMC an unreliable POS?

You name it. 2 transmissions, tons of electrical issues, AC, electronic 4WD selector didn't engage the transfer case alot of the time, window motor, seat warmer failed on driver side.

Thanks, I have been looking for awhile. I got a 2011 with 40K miles and the PO had all of the service records so I feel good about it. Only 7k a year so it sounds and looks like it had been in a garage except for Sunday drives. Going from the full size to the midsize I knew I wanted the extra bed space to be anywhere close to what I had. I can tow what I need to and can fit what I need to in the bed. It fits the bill and I shouldn't be pumping money into repairs every month!

What the heck? Thanks for the heads up I would have never though about this. It looks easy enough to at least discourage.... Have you heard of anyone actually having their tailgate stolen?
