    Hello,

    Just bought a 2017 OR 4x4 SB.

It's white - I want to protect the paint from sun somehow? Anybody know best way to do that?

I already purchased a TRD Pro Grill, Stage 2 Icon Lift, Bronze Method Roost Wheels.

Some other immediate things I am thinking about... not necessarily in this order - but all of the below I plan to really get done in the next 100 days or so before Summer.

    Alarm
    Dash Cam
    Skid Plates
    Winch
Mud Flaps / something to replace the ugly plastic wheel well cover things.
    Side Steps
    Roof Rack
    Front Brush guard
    Steel bumper guard
    Tool box for Bed
    LED Headlights --
    LED Light Bar
    LED Fog Lights
    Tinted/Protector Film for Windshield
    Tinted Tail Lights

Eventually (within the next 12 months) I want an armor front and rear bumper, exhaust/muffler, engine modifications, cool paint job/wrap, stickers, etc.

I want it to be a nice overland truck for it's first 5 years while it gets paid off. Only really planning on taking it on road trips and camping, fishing, hiking, mountain, ski trips.

After Year 5 I'll probably want to start turning it into more of a pre-runner, baja racer type truck.

Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Steven

If you want paint protection, you have two options. 1) Protect the paint using sealant and wax. 2) Wrap or plasti dip the truck. The first option is obviously the cheapest, but requires a lot of time and patience. The second is expensive, but requires no maintenance or upkeep. You can even take a wrap through a car wash without damaging it. It's ideal if you off-road and want to keep the paint/bodywork in like-new condition. It'll last you several years as well.

Any links or recommendations for the 2nd option? What kind of shop do I need to find to do this? Cost is not an issue. I'm interested in the highest quality protection. but want something that looks really cool too.

Where do you live if I may ask? There are several businesses in my area that wrap vehicles.

I want a cool wrap like some truck you would see in the Gumball 3000 or something.

I'm thinking also something kind of Retro like 1980's and 1990's style graphics, just like Red block stripe, or blue, or something. make it look like a real Toyota TRD race truck.

    I Like it.

How does one go about getting work like this done?

Just searching for motorsports wrap vendors in my immediate area?

Whats should one expect to pay?

That's where I would start. Google will tell you some of the nearest places that wrap. For something like that, you're talking close to $8-9k I'd say. The more customized it is, the more expensive it gets.

Wraps are just super expensive considering it takes a few days to complete usually. The cuts, the application process, the car has to be cleaned. All of those things add up. It also depends on which wrap you go with. Prices vary just like anything else.

I have a friend in Phoenix she can do regular wraps or design a wrap for you. "Desert Signs". 8-9k seems pretty high unless you got some elaborate print? Even then seems ridiculous. I'd give them a call and see how much one color would be for your whole truck.

I was thinking something more retro-ish, baja 1000 race truck ish. Without all the sponsor stickers i think it looks pretty clean.

I like the cool new modern looking stuff, but not for me. This is going to be a build but not some crazy SEMA extreme build.
