Yes, I know there are LOTS of threads with details about lifts, videos to find, etc. However I know nothing about them and would get more lost trying to research it all by myself so instead would prefer to ask the experienced Tacomans their opinion.

I have a '12 PreRunner and am interested in a basic lift. If I get this package, would there be any other hardware I would have to purchase or any other parts that need replaced? I have the stock wheels and tires and do not take it off-road.

This is what was pointed out to me by someone and it has piqued my interest:

Would I also 'need' the struts?

Ok first, block anything Rancho or Rough Country from your computer.

    Next, PM @HeadStrong Off-Road. Done.

what duststorm said.you won't need new coil overs for that lift. what you will get though is a pretty rough ride. if all you want to do is look lift I would go with the daystar kit. it's cheaper and may offer a better ride quality.or keep saving and go with the ome kit

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
100% agree. Rancho and RC make the cheapest, roughest ass riding lifts around.

And HeadStrong has a lady there who knows Toyota lifts like it was her job. (it is her job)

Haha. Sounds like Rough Country is the Spyder lights of suspension.

You have a prerunner. Consider Maxtrac spindles.

If your stock suspension is wore out look into coilovers from King, Fox, Icon, ADS, Bilstein.

Add a leaf pack in the back and have an excellent riding and performing vehicle!

Ok so after some research and discussions with a few people, I *think* I know what I would need to achieve a 2"-3" lift while maintaining a secure and smooth ride.

    -Bilstein Adjustable 5100s up front
    -AAL back
-standard non adjustable Bilstein 5100s in back
    -light racing UCAs up front

Again, I am in a 2WD PreRunner and the only offroading I will ever do if any is the occasional gravel road or driving across grass/dirt to a camp site. Are the above components all I would need to obtain this type of lift?
