Before you say anything, I have searched, read and read. With jeeps, this was a lot easier! Tacomas are a new game to me. I know the TACO has a factory rake in it. I am looking to get right at or under 3" of lift. I have read that a lot of people use the OME 885 springs. I have read that this gets you near 3 inches of lift? So in order to get those 3 inches, are people putting these springs on the front and the back or just the front? Preferably, Id like to get 3 all the way around and leveled out. A lot of the pics I see, people just say OME 885s, but they don't say if its only the front of what? If you have a thread that you are sub'd to that is helpful, please post it in the comments! Thank you!

just the front, and either AAL in the rear or new leaf packs will help you out.

I have a 2011 TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB. I wanted the same thing you are going for. After hours of research on TW, I came across this setup and it worked out great!
For the front, I installed the Bilstein 5100's w/ OME 885's coils along with the TOYTEC TOP1-T Front Top Plate Spacer Kit. For the rear, I ended up taking advantage of the Toyota TSB for the 2nd gen Tacoma. This included having the rear leaf springs changed out from a 3 leaf pkg to a 4 leaf pkg for FREE. I then installed the Bilstein 5100's along with a 2" Add A Leaf Set from Wheeler’s (#WHE ACH32). This brought my truck to level and at or just under 3" lift. I was able to accomplish this in 6 hours on a Saturday in the garage. Of course, a front-end alignment was necessary to keep things aligned. I am very pleased with it.

Looks like it. I highly recommend the 2" AAL lift option for the rear.

Im thinking that, and then later date, go back and do the shocks. With the tacos, can you just do your own shocks in your garage with a jack stand of are shocks more difficult than that?

I wanted the same thing, and went with Bilstein 5100's all the way around, OME 885 up front, and Wheeler's add-a-leaf in the back. I just took measurements after installing, but all of my numbers are written down at home. In the meantime, I have this thread with the info I used for my suspension upgrade along with some photos. Crazy thing is, I think I have about 4" of lift up front. Page 3 of my thread has links to everything I purchased, with pricing and list of vendors. Hopefully you find this useful.

As I mentioned, I did this myself using the proper tools and a floor jack. I did not have to use a spring compressor. I researched YouTube for videos and Tacoma World for posts. I found that this video was extremely helpful with removing the original coil from the front shock while installed on the truck. It worked out perfect!

Not sure how comfortable you are to perform this yourself. I just thought I would throw it out there... Good luck!

No problem. I just did the suspension upgrade 2 weekends ago, and just got out to test it this weekend. A lot of people want to know measurements to specific areas with these types of things too. So I have those written down, but not posted. I'll update my thread with that info and also share that info here for you.

Near Mooresville, NC! Race City USA! Just click on my pic to the left, select "Media Page", and you'll see some pics I took before and after the lift. Have fun with the project! It really wasn't too hard to do at home. Take pride in your work! And more important, save some $$$$.

What I wouldn't do to have that paint-matched rear bumper. Why does the TRD Off-Road have to come with chrome?!?! I may just plasti-dip my rear bumper.

The painted bumpers and hood scoop is what brought me over to the TRD Sport package. I always thought I would get the TRD Off-Road package to have the rear lockers, but to be honest, I have not got into a situation that would require it.

Here are my measurements. Note these are taken within a week of the install with only daily commuting. So I'm not sure what, if any, settling will take place. But it will give you an idea of what this setup will do.

Here are the measurements I took of specific areas of my truck before and after my upgrades.

Before: 2014 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road with BFG 265/70 R16 tires
After: Bilstein 5100's front/rear, OME 885 springs front, Wheeler's 1/4 driver side spacer, JBA UCA (not that it matters), Wheeler's 1.5" add-a-leaf in the rear, Cooper S/T Maxx 265/75 R16 tires.

Front driver side ground to fender:
    • Before: 34"
    • After: 37.5" (so much for the driver side lean)

Front driver side center of hub to fender:
    • Before: 20"
    • After: 22.5"

Front passenger side ground to fender:
    • Before: 34.25"
    • After: 38"

Front passenger side center of hub to fender:
    • Before: 20.5"
    • After: 23.5"

Rear driver side ground to fender:
    • Before: 35"
    • After: 37.25"

Rear driver side center of hub to fender:
    • Before: 21"
    • After: 22.25"

Rear passenger side ground to fender:
    • Before: 35"
    • After: 37.5"

Rear passenger side center of hub to fender:
    • Before: 21"
    • After: 22.5"

    Lower front skid plate:
    • Before: 9"
    • After: 12"
