Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
on my prerunner access cab they gave 3" brand new. They settled but i don't know how much. When I swapped them to the double cab 4x4 with added weight of armor, I still cleared 285/70-17 tires fine but i didn't measure how much lift it had on that.
    I'd guess 1.5-2" maybe.
Swapping the coils onto 5100s might change height and would likely ride better too.
Offroad is good with these OME struts but a bit rough on road.

I hadn't thought about doing this but makes sense to keep it out of the way and from being damaged. Nice idea.

Local camera shop quoted me almost $400 for what I wanted. Found one on line for $188 (used) with a warranty. (Camera shop in Chicago)

Post #2 and #3 have one night exposure each.

Edit: Don't think I have one of just the stars from LBL though. Here's one from Harlan and I'd say it's pretty similar as far as light pollution goes:

I would be interested to know costs and such. Time off work wouldn't be an issue, cost would be what would prohibit me.

    I understand that completely.
I'm 27, still paying on student loans. They'll be there. Your health and life doesn't wait on those unfortunately.

Same here. I'm not sure on exactly the cost (or even close for now) but i do know that it would depend on a lot of different things as well. You're looking what days to camp/stay somewhere. What food to pack, eat/ vs eating out some. Scenario's that could happen along the way (Maintenance etc.) It would definitely be something one would have to sit down and prepare for. However, i think purchasing some commodities (Coolers, Tent, Gear) Overtime would cut some cost on some things.

Hahaha, i'll make another thread about it. I actually meant to post this in the Official Central Kentucky thread and posted it in here on accident.

Ya I would agree. This almost seems like something you plan to do in 5 yrs, preparing along the way.
