need help with torque specs.

    can anyone tell me what the torque specs for the suspension are for the 1st gen.

    i need the specs for

    coil spring upper nuts (3 top nuts)
    coil spring lower main bolt
    rear leaf spring main blots
    rear leaf spring U-bolts

    Coil Spring Top Hat - 47 ft lbs
    Strut Lower Bolt - 101 ft lbs
    Rear Leaf Spring (Front Bolt) - 116 ft lbs
    Rear Leaf (Shackle) - 67ft lbs
    Rear Leaf U-bolts 90 ft lb

    thank you sir.

    I'm sure this will com in handy for anyone installing a Bilstein 5100 lift or OME lift on their 1st gen taco.

    jus for additional information

    lower ball joint bolts - 59 ft lbs
    lower ball joint castle nut - 105 ft lbs
    tie rod end castle nut - 67 ft lbs


    please correct me if im wrong this info came of internet searches/videos and not the FSM. if you have a FSM and i gave the wrong info please correct it.

    so i sold my 2000 and now have a 2004 can anyone confirm all these torque specs can be used for both different years.

    only reason i ask is case i know there are differences between the 98-00 and 01-04 just wondering is all the torque specs stayed the same.

    Shouldn't be any different as long as you're going from 4x4 / prerunner to 4x4 / prerunner or 5 lug to 5 lug. Torque specs rely mainly on the bolt size and then application. Nothing changed on the suspension parts during that time in terms of major components and how they connect to one another.

    Dalandser is correct. Should be no difference. I had access to a 2003 FSM at one point and I believe the suspension numbers I put in above are the same as my 2000 FSM.
