Plasti-dip all chrome logos to black, more to come...
Finally got a truck and of course it had to be a Tacoma. I woke up and turned in my Toyota Corolla and got my self a 2015 Silver Double Cab Tacoma Prerunner TRD. Little bit of a change going from a Corolla to a Tacoma but it feels so good. I plan on doing a couple of changes on the truck.

    Plasti-dipped Chrome emblems:

One idea I had was changing the colors of the TRD decals. Mine are Black letters with a red shadow of the letters. I looked online for vectors of it and the ones I saw were close but still a little off. Example: in a lot of the ones I saw they had a rounded "R" for "Road" where as I noticed it was not have a rounded corner but squared. Just little things that seemed off. I also wanted to choose my own colors. Flat black with a flatter black as the shadow.

Here is the outline I made in AI:

This is my first daft of the decal. I did leave out one little part between the "o" and the "a". It seemed off even on the actual decal so I just left it out. The white between the letters is not just a stroke so it is "cut out" just like the stock decal. Pretty close to actual size of stock decal. Could be made bigger.

Would any one else be interested in this AI file for their own projects or ideas?

Thanks Matt. Your truck is super clean. Already went and looked at the front bumper and the price ha. And you have the super charger. How do you like that?

What do you guys think of maybe a 90's colored theme for the off road decal.

Nah!Don't think that's the theme your going for based on reading your write up!Good luck though and congrats on your Tacoma!I was going to change mine over the last 3 yrs (and still might)when i purchased my brand new 2012 cause i'm not really a fan of the color red. It's grown on me though(TRD sticker)haha!Definetely won't be dippin my enblems red or anything else red!I'm totally fine with the red TRD center caps on my FJ Cruiser Trail Team Wheels though!LOL!Sutle and definetely not over done is what i would suggest!

Hate to revive this old thread, but I can't find the real vector file anywhere. I see it was offered up by the OP. Any chance you still have that file hanging around?
