I've got the 2012 Trail Teams Edition. There is a million threads on this using the search function and I'm a complete newb so it's overwhelming. I'm up in BC Canada and don't off road crazy but do like to get out in the bush hunting a lot and fishing as well. Would still like a great ride around town and will be putting or attempting to put on 285/70r17's BFG KO2's. I don't mind spending $$$ on what gets quality so as long as it's not outrageous ($3000) or something I'd love to hear your guys expertise. 3" in front, 1" in the back? Again specific help for what I'm looking for would be super helpful.

    Thanks

I have 2012 trd sport w a 2" iron man lift and 285/75/16 inch duratracs on trd trail team rims from an fj. Slight rub on the upper control arm at full lock stuffed but enough to get spacers.

No cutting just took off mud flaps.

I picked up a Rancho 2.5" lift (actual lift was 3" in the front) from TDot performance. It's the cheapest place I've seen the kit sold and they offer free shipping to BC (prices are also in CAD already). The lift rides great on pavement and gravel (even washboard). I'm currently running 255/75R17 tires on it with no rubbing and figure I can get away with 285/70R17 with no issues (although I'll probably switch to 255/80R17 when I make the move to 33s). Overall I am extremely happy with it and would definitely buy it again if I had to replace this truck.

That being said, if my budget was higher I'd probably look into Icons....

Icon is the bottom rung of performance coilovers.

    Bilstein 6112's up front + SPC UCA's

5100's in the rear with a 3 leaf AAL.

This will be a nice riding lift that wont break the bank and will fit your needs very well.

Great info... I've been contemplating a lift, but am very money conscious... (tight). Lol!!! This Rancho seems to be the answer to my search!! 2K13 Tacoma SS. The good thing thus far is I've already added a TT-1" Body... 33's should fit alright, right??
