Does anybody have experience with the Leer Legend caps? They are not listed on Leer's website, but basically a true budget option.

I had asked a dealer for a quote for a basic cap. He said they had the Legend for $1170. Pics of it look the same as the 100R, and it uses the same windows. They also offer the Legend S, which has solid side windows.

The difference according to the dealer is the warranty. The Legend series comes with a 3 yr paint and fiberglass warranty vs Lifetime.

    For price comparison.
    Legend S - $1120
    Legend - $1170
    100R - $1352

All of those prices are for the basic version of the shell. I can then add any accessories I want and the price is the same, such as $165 for Thule tracks.

I work in retail selling stuff and dealing with companies on warranty. I just feel if a issue arises that will be covered by warranty it will happen in the first year or so. Most stuff that has a lifetime warranty, the company's always find a way to get out of covering anything. So why pay the extra for just a lifetime warranty?
