Thanks everyone, not many mods to post. Really enjoying the taco so far, I have gotten the all weather floor mats and a bench seat hammock installed for the dogs (really installed for interior protection....). I am also hovering a few group buys to see about getting so useful offroading mods. I am used to heavy rock crawling and beating up the TJ that I traded in so I will definitely need armor for this brand new taco.

Got a set of the Carhartt seat covers, good quality and should do well for my needs.

Also got in on the instant air supply group buy for my oba set up, bought a snatch strap from Wheelers Offroad, and hit Amazon prime for my cb radio. I have a message out to shmellfab on his cb antenna mount. I am going for a no drill cb radio install. Slowly getting parts for my offroad adventures, focusing on recovery gear (no winch recovery) and armor/protection first. I want to offroad and travel but I also want to keep the truck looking new.

Doing my break in oil change this week as well.

Oh, almost forgot. A few friends and I went to Durham town and tested our stock rigs out last weekend. Lexus GX470, 05 4Runner, and my Taco.

Brown Santa visited me today, a few orders came in all at once.

GoPro CNC Aluminum case with open sides for charging while recording. Also has a 37mm UV filter and lense cover.

Added a comet rs720 cb antenna mount. I wanted a no drill option for mounting the antenna and this does the trick.

Bought some OEM mud flaps from @jimmy jam. Very pleasant buying experience and quick shipping/feedback. Received them this week and installed them. Hopefully they will help against the gravel and mud until I feel like spending the premium for RokBlokz flaps.

I have been pondering my next mod. The end goal is to maintain mpg on the daily driver while being able to offroad/overland travel (aka hit the likes or Moab, forest roads, maybe a little crawling). This means adding armor and accessories while keeping weight off.

    What i have so far:

-Wife/copilot and 2 full size dogs
-Seat covers (gotta keep it new)
    -CB radio and mount
    -Onboard CO2 air system
-Mud flaps (aka keep rocks off my paint)
    -Hilift jack (already owned)

I know I dont want to lift it, yet (warranty and all), and the tires still have plenty of life (11k miles so far). I am trying to figure out what route to take, I am thinking of rock sliders next to keep from damaging the truck offroad. I also like the versatility of dissent offroads bed rack and cab rack system. Seems like armor should come first though. I do have an m416 trailer I bought when I had my TJ wrangler (no room) and Im not even sure i need the trailer anymore now that I have a truck but at the same time if I use the trailer then I wont have to constantly load/unload the truck for trips (wouldnt want to drive around everyday with the loaded down weight). Its a tough decision, I also have an rtt but have considered sleeping in the bed of the taco, rtt adds wind drag and reduce mpg on hwy trips if theyre mounted on the truck above the cab (dissents rack that i am pondering).

Admins....could we move this to the 3rd gen builds section? I dont want to double post...lol.

Nothing new so far, washed and detailed it today. Probably going to clay bar and wax tomorrow. Looking to take it to some trails in Helen and go to oktober fest this month, going to Uwharrie in November.
