Looking for Trd Sport Double Cab Long Bed 4x2 (Model 7172) in South

I have tried and cannot seem to find out if gulf states Toyota offers this model for sale . I have found it in 4x4 sport, 4x4 off-road , and 4x2 sr5 trim. I did make contact with buyer for GST that said she would help me order a combination that may not be offered thru them but was wanting to find out before having to bother her.

How did you search please - or can you tell me what states these are in? I tried Houston model 7172 Tacoma and or ways and came up empty.

Because I need them to be in Texas or Louisiana or anywhere Gulf State Toyota sells.

 

They are all in FL. Search through Edmunds ap. But there is no way to search for the long bed. I just scrolled through the pictures.

In United States, Toyota distributes their own vehicles except for Southeastern Toyota ( Florida, Georgia and a few other Eastern States) and Gulf States Toyota ( Texas , Louisiana , and Mississipi) in those two third party distributors , they decide what models they want to bring in or in this case do not want to bring in. Their reasons are because some models they do not think they will sell and they don't want them to sit on lot per GST rep . Now luckily I found a girl in buying dept who is willing to help me order one - her reason is because it is s sold order and will not sit on any lot .

 

Why not just buy one in FL?


2 years ago I wanted to new MK7 GTI. The only one I could find in the country how I wanted it was in NC. I made the deal over the phone and drove up to get it. Wasn't a bad experience.

 

Definitely not opposed to that - I was going to try and buy local from dealer that supports TW . Their sales manager routinely gets on here and offers help with parts questions and they are lift - modification friendly dealership , some are not apparently. I just trip to New Jersey and went to dealer there to look around , they were super cool, helpful, had several lifted Tacomas in all trims. They talked with me even after I told them I was window shopping to pass time.

 

I found out they have two in golf states region so that means they do order them when requested

 

Have you tried looking out of the GST or SET regions? These regions have better allocations, also you don't have to pay those extra fees (GST Admin Fee, ToyoGuard, ect). In other post where members show how much they paid, sometimes I see a $599 doc fee in these regions.

I guess the only good thing about buying in CA is that the doc fee is set to $80 max, by law.

 

Luckily the dealer that I'm wanting to purchase from is going to do it at invoice price for special order but the two trucks that I previously saw the invoice for had about $600 in extra fees . If I do buy out of state some of that's going to be eaten up from traveling and then I'll lose any type of dealer relationship when it comes to warranty
etc. so if I want to Tacoma I might have to pay those fees from what the salesman I'm dealing with from his information those fees are mandated by gulf states Toyota
