Here's what happened: Last week I was on the freeway in the very early morning and I'm pretty sure I hit some ice. I lost control of my truck and I tried to correct it, but I guess I ran out of luck. The truck and I rolled down the small embankment once and it landed right side up on the on-ramp to the freeway. After inspecting the damage, I put the key in the ignition and it started up without any trouble and I drove home. My initial thought was that it's totaled. However, after washing off all the mud from the embankment, I'm not entirely convinced that it's totaled. The visible damage is to the left fender, the right side view mirror broke off, roof rack is destroyed, the roof caved in a little bit, the windshield cracked, and a couple of paint chips, scratches, and dents on the right side of the truck were sustained from the rollover. The truck also pulls to the left just a tad.

What do you guys think? Is it totaled?

I think you need better pics. Looks like you took them in a bubble.

Edit: Glad you made it out safe.

That's all the damage from a rollover? Wow, impressive. If you as an insurance company, they will total it. Because the body shop will have to do some work on that roof. I'd say keep it, replace that fender and windshield and maybe work on the roof.

I still can't believe how relatively little damage did the truck sustain after rolling.

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
Not going to be cheap to fix if you're planning to pay someone else to fix it all. Get a qualified technician to check it out. Probably needs an allignment... If you're lucky it is still mechanically sound. The rest is just cosmetic. Insurance would likely call it totaled buy it looks fixable to me.

Do the doors open? Its probably totaled from an insurance perspective, since to be totaled the repair bill must be more than the trucks estimated value. You would also have trouble ever selling it, some people may even think you screwed with the title. The roof of course would be the hardest and most costly to fix, probably best to start with that.

If it survived a rollover with almost minimal damage and started up on the first crank, I would keep driving it like it is. Great conversation piece if nothing else.

A Pillar looks good, your B Pillar looks a little caved in though. Honestly I've seen cars in worse condition work perfectly fine. Probably totaled from an insurance standpoint, but a good body shop could fix it.

It all comes down to just what the OP wants !!

Total the truck get the check and move on.

I would guess quite a few of us are thinking get another cab or pull things enough so the windshield can be replaced get another left fender call it good.

Not everyone has the means and place to do something like this

Well, I will say thank god your OK. If you only did that damage in a roll over, you need to be playing the lottery or something. I'd have to have the frame checked first. I personally would have it totaled then buy it back from them, fix her up and run it.

Biggest issue will be the pulling to one side. Be SURE the frame is straight. Most insurance companies will total a vehicle if the damage estimates are over 75% of the book value of the vehicle.

Howdy, my truck also crashed, and rolled from black ice accident. Found a sdhop to put a new cab on and its been great since . Goes down the road straight as an arrow up to 95 mph. Mine was much worse then yours. body shops are reluctant to make structural repairs (A pillar rebuild) I would get a porter power in your cab, get it pushe out and I will probably be fine. If the frame is not rusted out it could be ok.

Thanks for your input, guys. But yeah, I'm very fortunate to have walked away unscathed. Although, I did get hit in the head by a socket wrench during the rollover. At this point I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it. I want to keep it because it was a damn good truck prior to the accident, but I'm not sure if I want to spend that much time, money, and energy repairing it. You guys might see it in the for sale section sometime soon.
