Hey guys, I am new here so please try not to strike me down LOL! I did some searching but couldn't find any hard facts, I am sure there is a write up on this somewhere though. Anyway I am in the market for some new uca's since I am lifting my truck 3" in the front, I see everywhere people recommending Total Chaos uca's and I do fully stand behind you get what you pay for. But After doing some more looking I found these they aren't directly branded but they look to be of the same build quality as well as all the desired features of the others. Let me know what you guys think, They are half the cost so I would imagine there is some difference.

I'm actually surprised there isn't a super big thread about this.

I'm not too wise on the subject but @RelentlessFab gave me some good advice on it. Maybe he can chime in.

    Too few to list.
Welcome to the site. Be careful of E-bay. I know we've seen some TC knock offs. Just look at the welds. UCA's are a part I don't want to be cheap on, kind'a like brakes.

I feel that you are pretty safe going Total Chaos, Icon, SPC, or All Pro.

Welcome to the board, and the quality of the 2 are no way even close to workmanship. Remember as well if something goes wrong with these Fleabay copies I am sure you will be on your own when something breaks. Go with a company that has tons of backing like mentioned above by @SixthSnail

I know someone who runs the $300 ebay ones and he loves them. Able to get the extra caster he needs for 285's. He wheels in Moab a couple times a year, black bear, Imogene, all over. The main difference is the uniball is just the standard steel FK Bearing($25 ea.), not the stainless($150+ per pair). I'm sure the tubing is different, too, but he hasn't had any problems. Also, no product support on the ebay ones, so when it comes time to rebuild, you have to find the bushings and uniballs on your own and hope you find the right parts.

For most things, this is great advice. Especially in parts that will destroy your truck it if breaks.

Yep! Search Google for failed upper ball joint pictures. You don't want that piece to fail...

Not sure if you have your lift picked out yet but if you buy the Bilstein kit from Headstrong Off Road, the SPC UCA's can be added to the package for not much more than those eBay units.
Check out their website and go through the options.

Mine is not in good shape right now. I'm swapping them on Thursday but you've now terrified me to drive until then...

Thanks for all the replies! A lot of good info, had flashbacks of my old 94 Tbird that had a lower ball joint fail and I REALLY don't want to go through that again. Think I'll go with total chaos seems to be the prime pick among the majority. Thanks again

I added Total Chaos upper control arms to 3" procomp and helped with my "wander" problem after they aligned it. I wanted Icon, but they are lots of money.

Today I was able to drive the truck on a longer drive. The Upper Control Arms were a huge improvement. Overall I am now very happy with the Procomp 3" and the upper control arms. The "wandering" was driving me crazy!
