I made sure to do as much searching as possible before asking any questions. I recently picked up a used 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport with 25k on the clock. I am wanting to lift the truck 2'' or so and was looking on ToyTec and considering the 5100 shock kit with AAL. Wondering if I will need to get the diff drop spacers for such a mild lift? If it helps at all, in any way, I would like to get them. I assume that the diff drop would benefit, alignment wise, with just about any lift. I want to do this once and right.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Are you 4 wheel drive?

I suspect you haven't searched much.

The truck is 4WD (hence the need for diff spacers) and I read a few threads in regards to the spacers with varying opinions on whether or not they are needed. Some say yes, some say no...as does the ToyTec site.

No. They don't do any good on a 2nd gen anyway and most can cause issues. I've got 40,000mi on a ~3" with no changes to the differential.

Google search: "diff drop site:www.tacomaworld.com". You'll find several discussions on the issue, most people suggest you don't need it.

I have 30k+ miles on a lift similar to what you are describing with no diff drop, and no problems.

I appreciate the input as well as search suggestions. With slang terminology it's hard to nail a search well and get decent information from it. I'll get that kit ordered immediately and report back.

Thanks for your input. I need to get everything I want done relatively quickly and assumed there wasn't a need for them, but would rather ask than assume and be wrong.
