I had to purchase a whole new lock set from Toyota and it included the airbag key switch in the set.

Do I need to disconnect the battery for just changing the key switch? - Disconnected the battery ground for 5 minutes just to avoid any deploy issues.

Also does anyone have some instructions for replacing the temperature control unit in the dash? I know it has 3 cables to remove from the unit, but how does the ends that connect to the arms come off the lever arms?

    Thanks,

    Doug

So nobody has changed the heater control module in their dash yet?

I can't believe that out of all the people on this board, that nobody has changed out their temperature control assembly right above the stereo.

How in the hell do you get the cables out of those funky housing holders on the temperature control assembly?

I figured out how to get the cables removed. Depressing the two curved clamp tabs on each side of the cable and then slide it out backwards to get it out and unhooked.
