    Hello,
I am going on a road trip!
I need advice about tires and tire chains.

    I have a 2014 Tacoma Access Cab with a Leer 100XR canopy.

The tires on the truck now are:
    P215/70R15 290105531 S 97 SL BSL 300/B/B 1,620 51 5.5 - 7.0 6.50 8.7 11 26.9 777
see photos (the truck came with these crazy chrome wheel covers...)

My trip will cover winter conditions at Grant's Pass OR, Mt Shasta CA, etc, as well as dry conditions and the desert.

    Which tires would you recommend?
    Which chains would you recommend?

    Thanks!
    ...Plucky

I like my Cooper Discoverer AT3's. They've worked well on dirt, gravel, and snow (4-8"). I've got 255/70/17's but I just looked and they have 225/70/15's, only a small step up from the 215's you got.
Can't comment on chains, I've never used them. Probably should have a couple times though!

Okay, and what do you recommend about carrying tire chains for the high elevation passes?
