so glad I found this forum :D
Citrus Heights - not sure what qualifies as manpower, I'm not the biggest - 5'10" 165 lbs
I'm a diesel tech for ford so I know how to turn a wrench. Installed my own lift this past Saturday. Have access to a shop but not really supposed to use it for other vehicles. Could probably sneak in a strut to swap out a spring or shock and stuff like that. Have an array of tools at work and home. If you need any more details, let me know.

Really not too good with metal fab but would love to meet up with someone who is. I need to find a way to remount my skid plates :(

Oh, I'm fairly good with wiring too. Aftermarket or factory

No I got my taco with 120k on it and naturally some lube tech had stripped out a few of the skid plate holes. Anyway I figured I'd drill and tap the holes bigger and just stuff a bigger bolt in. Worked for the most part but I didn't know there were drill sizes to go along with different taps so now my threads are very shallow if that makes sense. I really don't know what to do to fix it. I don't know if going larger is an option, I went pretty big...

wow guess I screwed up lol. Anyone know the size of he factory bolts? Maybe a pic?

Because we were getting off topic. Essentially we were BSing not in the BS thread.

Sorry to the OP and everyone else for posting again not relating to tools and etc

I just change my cv today, if anyone in the East Bay (Oakland) area needs to borrow a Pittman puller, 35mm, pry bar, or breaker bar. Let me know

I'm thinking of doing the add a leaf to my 07 dbcb and would like a find a TW member that can help out. Instead of paying a shop $200 or more for installation I'd rather pay a TW member who is willing to help for a case of beer or some extra cash (less than shop price of course). I do basic maintenance but this a little beyond my skill set. Could be as simple as stopping by my place with a few tools and some know how to guide me. (I have most of what we'd need though.) Let me know if anyone out there can help.

I'm doing this because my new shell lowers the rear and the extra leaf would help with that and provide support when full of camping gear. I've already had the recall on the springs done by Toyota and have 5100's all around.

    I'm in Sacramento btw.

    Thanks
