Kinda of cool to see in real life :)

Edit: ... Just noticed how much in "width" it fills up a parking place too.

This was one of George Barris's first creations and this guy said he has owned this 356-A for the last 45 years and bought it when he was 19 y/o.

Cool story behind this car ... saw it today at the Caffeine & Octane Perimeter Mall Car Show and talked to the owner for its' history.

EDIT: George Barris's customized work at the top and bottom of this thread page ... just realized that ... :)

And then there's this little gem I saw at a show a couple of years ago, a 1/3 scale '53 Chevy.

...^^^... Never have seen anything like that before.

Think of all the work that goes into a vehicle to make it larger or smaller in most of its' proportions

My guess is that it is a very difficult task to do this and make it come out looking as correct as possible.

There was just an Episode of My Classic Car that had a guy that hand made a 1954 Chevy but made it smaller scale like the one above, he said he laid out the blueprints and shrunk everything down.

Isn't this a kit car based on a late 80s Corvette?

Oh, and History channel has a new show called Detroit Steel. Just caught the premiere episode...and it's now etched into my DVR lineup. Nice work.

...^^^... It might be a kit car ... never thought of that ... didn't get a chance to see if it was metal or fiberglass.
