Do you play Chess?

Pounding down the yeast excrement on a Sat. night and looking for the most moribund/offbeat TW threads to resuscitate.

I've played a lot for years, specialized in the Sicilian Defense for black, was on state tournament high school team, used to play my neighbor in college who was going for his PhD in mathematics- we'd have marathon chess sessions while doing numerous bg hits, now a days mostly play my computer, sorry about the run-on sentence.

 

I'll bring this one back to life again. My dad taught me the game, but I was never interested in it till later when my son's got into the game. My older son whips me all the time, I'll win two and he'll take five.

 

Taught myself in high school, then played in college a bit with a friend who I also used to box with. Guinness is an awesome catylist for both

 

I like the game and play when I have an opportunity, started playing about 2nd or third grade with my father.

 

I go by longshore on the chess time app. I spend quite a lot of time on it...
