What is the difference between these 2 wheels?

I got some OEM 15" wheels used, visually they appear the same but they have different numbers on them:

    -T15x7JJ
    vs
    -J15x7JJ

The only other differences I can see is in the center where the wheel cap sits, the T15 has slightly more tapered edges compared to the J15. The wheel caps themselves have the exact same part number and fit either wheel. The textured aluminum of the wheel (the area where the text is in the photos) has a lip that extended a bit farther on the T15 compared to the J15.

The J15 is off a '97 Tacoma, I don't know where the T15 is from.

Any ideas why there would be slight differences and wheel numbers? Different manufacture for the same wheel?

I'm sure someone will chime in but easiest thing to probably do would just call that wheel company to find out for sure. IT could even be the time they were made cause if they are the same rim all the specs should be the same and you should be able to mount them no problem.

    Thanks for the research

I have them mounted now. I did notice that on the 'T' wheel the lug nuts did not go in as smoothly, but they did tighten. Almost like the hole for them was a hair smaller.

More than likely I would guess they're just manufactured at different plants, but I'm confident that the specs are the same. I wouldn't worry too much about using them.

I recently bought a set of the Chou Seiki T15x7JJ aluminum wheels & center caps for my truck recently. I didn't know they had 15" wheels in this size because I always saw a lot of used Chou Seiki 16" wheels for sale on Craig's List and I almost bought them. The 15" wheels that I bought fit my truck perfectly, didn't have to buy 16" tires, swapped over my current 15" tires from my OEM steel wheels, and I had my wheels cleaned/polished/powder coat painted in black. They look awesome and I have the OEM aluminum wheels that I've been after for quite awhile.
