Flattened the AAL when used with the stock leaf pack. He had to switch to dakar. And the boat is not that heavy.

wow yeah...the stock leafs suck as far as towing...dakar pack should be more than enough for a small boat like that.

Makes me wonder where Toyota came up with 6500# tow capacity.

I have a 1.5 inch rake and want to come up two inches in the front. I was gonna get 5100s and 885 coils. Can i set the bilsteins to notch 1 on just the rear to level it out? Would that require an AAL?

Anything on the back and more importantly, did you do UCAs? After reading above it sounded like you have to but the more I've read and asked, I'm not so sure. I think the alignment will be tougher but not impossible and that's an expensive solution just to make it a bit easier imo. Maybe I'm wrong....

    1 inch block rear.

    Alignment was well within spec.

I'm sure the stock toyota upper control arms won't last as long as a normal ride height truck. But I know the total chaos ones need tri lube applied to them every other week. Spc arms can be greased obviously. But why throw away something new at this stage. In 2 years from now I'll throw more money at the front suspension. I got bills to pay from other things in life. 5100's at this height gets me down the trail without worries.

exactly the info I needed, thanks! last question but given proper backspace and offset (let's assume 4.5" (ish) and maybe 0 to -6) do you think you could you clear a 285 with that setup?

    Ride quality is good.

I'm no expert on backspacing, but I know for a 100% there is a guy with same setup as me running 285's. But he is running factory rims with 1.25" spidertrax spacer. I know 285s on stock rims will rub 100% with no spacer.

What I'm not sure about is if the other guy is stuffing the wheel taking it off-road.

On the street I'm sure he is fine.

My plan next is to find some used 255/85/16s as strictly off-road use only. Those will clear no problem.
Use the duratracs 265/70/17s for everyday daily driving or light trails.

When are the 6112s coming out for 3rd gen?

makes sense. The wheels I am considering have less backspacing and negative offset ( rather than big +) than stock so I think I should clear 285/75/16 without a wheel spacer and without a problem. At least I hope so!

I have DCLB OR with 265/70/17's, any issues or thoughts on installing 5100's up front to raise it up about an inch or so for a little added clearance?

That's where I'm at. I think a few people are running 2nd gen 6112s just fine, but would be nice to use revalved ones specifically for 3rd gens.

Springs might be different with front end weight being more on the 3rd gen?
