I tried the hump10 and every other code I could find online and the only one that worked was newlook5 for 5% off.

Yup. I guess the 10% was from a while ago. Wish there was an active 10% code now.

Watch their facebook and twitter accounts, they seem to pop up there with some regularity.

Comes with software on a disk. Disable wifi when you use it otherwise it apparently tries to connect to Toyota and look for a license key etc. I turned off wifi and all was good.

It was with a discount code from when I ordered back in August.
I don't know of a 10% off code now, but I have ordered from them a lot over the years (my previous vehicle was a modded 4Runner) and a couple times when I couldn't find a discount code I called them and let them know I have bought from them before always getting 10% off and asked if they could do that again and they did. Sometimes you can just call and ask.

So who's successfully programmed a used key? Doing a new key seems super simple, I can get that far but mine fails because it's been programmed already.

Using google I can see it's about half and half people saying it can't be done and some saying it can be done - with some instruction that involves erasing all keys and starting over.

I can only see a couple options in Techstream one of them says it requires a passcode (I don't have) one says it requires a masterkey. Probably don't have that either.

If I have to go to the dealer for it, I'll probably just toss this key and order a new one.

    Have a look here: http://www.rav4world.com/forums/96-4-3-general/186042-smart-keys-replacement-info-how.html

Short version seems to be that to program a used key you must do the full reset, which requires a code, but codes are obtainable. Just has to be realtime since the seed from Techstream will change with every attempt.

I have Techstream running and am expecting a used Lexus key to be delivered this week; I anticipate giving it a go this weekend. I'll report back.

Oh yeah let me know for sure. I've got it sitting here ready to sell because I'm not sure if I want to do that full reset or not.

@gpb did you get your used key working? I've got mine sitting ready to either sell or reset the whole truck.

USPS took my key on a merry tour so it didn't arrive until Saturday afternoon, and I've had other commitments since then. That and the 24 hour turnaround for buying tokens from weboctopus.nl is now at 50 hours without any tokens.(*)

I'm hoping to give it a shot one evening this week, though of course that can change. It's not exactly burning a hole in my pocket so to speak. :)

EDIT: pinged them, got an autoresponder with instructions on requesting the token codes be re-sent and now have them. No idea what happened for them not to show up the first time.

@erok81 -- turned out I was able to make time after work today. I wasn't sure so I didn't want to set the wrong expectation.

Success! I just completed programming my previously programmed (i.e. *used*) Lexus wallet key to my 2017 OR.

I bought the Lexus key pn 89904-53511 on ebay from seller bobster21, claimed it was a new but previously programmed key from a Lexus totalled during delivery. Seller seems to deal in keys and fobs and it was shipped promptly. He took an offer for a little bit less than the buy it now price. Key was in a plastic bag and is cosmetically flawless; blade emergency key inside was already cut, I have a blank I now need to go get cut.

The procedure detailed in the Rav4 post above worked fine. I'd bought five tokens from weboctopus.nl and have techstream 11.10.034 installed on an Windows 7 virtual machine under VirtualBox on an old Thinkpad I don't use for anything but this sort of stuff. Started the truck, hooked up with a MiniVCI cable, followed the procedure in the SmartKey section using one token to get the passcode for a Smart Key Reset. Took the full 16 minutes to do the reset as described. Then I went into the Smart Code Registration and registered my three keys, the original two plus the new Lexus key. I programmed first the key that I keep in our spare keys spot at home thinking the first key would be the master and that one would be the better choice. Programming involves touching it to the Start button and hearing the truck chirp. I then programmed the Lexus key, and finished with the second smartkey I've normally been carrying.

All in all it was really easy to do given that I had the passcode generator website and a token to feed it. Total time was maybe 30-40 minutes including running a power cord out to the truck to keep the old laptop running and putting it away afterward.

FYI, I have four remaining tokens for weboctopus.nl and would be happy to share, I'd just ask to have 1/5th of my actual cost covered per token. I paid US$27.71 in total for the five codes (equivalent of €24,95). PM me if interested. No apparent time limit on these. (mods, let me know if this isn't appropriate)

Update 12 Feb: All tokens are gone. Thanks for the interest.

Note: it appears that pin-online.net recently updated and now can provide passscodes as well as help with TechStream registration. Previously I was able to get 11.10.034 set up on my own via obdii365.com and www.car-professionals.com.
