Holy Shit. I didn't even realize they made modern cars without A/C anymore.

Same, I could easily sell my Taco for upwards of $12k+ (CA resale on compact trucks is insane) and get much newer car. But it was my dad's and I don't have the heart to sell it so I keep dropping money on it to upgrade it haha.
I don't have power locks/mirrors/windows either, I actually took all the door components off a wrecked '04 Limited that had them and I'm adding them in my truck. I don't have the connectors behind the kick panel so I have to fabricate a wiring harness and lock computer.

'98 std cab 2wd with only A/C and A/T. I got it 2 months ago so I don't know if the A/C works. Upgraded the wiper stalk to add intermittent, had an aftermarket radio that died after 2 weeks. I replaced with the stock AM/FM cassette.:yay: It has a hundred small scratches and dents all over it and a few drips of house paint on the roof of the cap. Most important, its rust free; no small thing here in New England. Its the greatest!

    Welcome

    Beautiful truck

Thank you for following the rules

    I love your hub caps
Was your truck painted before , due to front bumper ...

However adding intermittent wiper is a big NO NO in this club :D

The grill is odd; its either painted silver and pealing or painted red and peeling. I still haven't landed on one or the other conclusion. What color is the bumper supposed to be? I thought it original. As for the wipers, we have many "soft days" (as the Irish would say) here in the northeast and doing intermittent manually was getting old, fast. Thanx, Dave

I lived in north end for many years

Also (can't remember) went to a beach in CT where we had to pay to go to beach, ridiculous. I miss driving my mr2 ttop 85mph on I-95 and see the rain putter patter above

Here are the original bumpers, chrome or black

85-88 body style were factory turbo which added 23HP

However having a factory turbo would negate poverty spec status ;)

MR2, poor man's Honda S2000, which I absolutely love, by the way. But I'd still take the MR2 over it, I might be a lil biased doe.

mR2 cost me new same as S2000
It was a poor mans 348

My 01 s2000 was way more fun than the mr2. It was more raw. My 95 mr2 turbo was more gt car. When my 01 stook got stolen after I out 168k miles I replaced it with a 07 AP2 which just wasn't the same and wasn't as raw as my 01. That was the last Honda for me

But let's not sully this thread with sports car talk.

It's about honest to goodness poverty spec mighty Tacoma machines :D
