    Hi there -

I'm trying to remove and replace my SR5 grille. I can get the top screws and tabs undone, but the grille wont come undone from the bottom of the truck. It feels stuck.

I watched the below video and the guys says there's some tabs near the bottom of the grille. I'm not seeing them.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBElHs4m2mE

Curious if anyone can help with instructions or point me to another video that goes a little more in-depth. I don't want to break my grille.

    Thanks,
    Adonis!

    Hmmm.

In the second video, at 2:30 he just kind of works the grill off.

In the first video, the guys removes some tabs at the bottom of the grill.

Getting mixed messages...mine doesn't work itself off

    One more happy customer! Enjoy.

I looked at all the videos also and still broke a tab removing mine. After I figured it out it is easy peasy.

Just changed the grill on my 2017 TRD Sport. Had to give it a relatively hard pull straight out in order to get the bottom tabs to release. For me the hardest part was getting it lined up properly for re-installation back on the truck. Patience is the key!

When removing the large nose/grill piece, how hard should you pull it off?

Also, is there a directional sequence to pulling it off? Like do you pull up, then out?

My SR5 piece is super hard to pull remove.

    Thanks!

Once you've let the tabs loose, there are 6+- 'tabs' on the bottom part of the grill that hold it in place, the tabs are not held in to place (or "clicked in") by anything, they just stick in my grooves to hold it in. Once you've got everything loose, pull the entire grill outwards towards you, that will slide the tabs out of the bottom portion of the grill and release everything. These are the tab holes on the bottom I'm referring to. Pull the grill towards you and those slide out. They suck trying to line up when putting it back in though

When I removed mine I pulled it up and towards me at the same time. It gave a sort of popping feel when it came loose. It take a good amount of force to break free. Not like you're yanking it trying to break it in half, but a good firm tug.

When removing the tabs from the shroud/trim if it's cold I recommend using a hair dryer on hi heat. Warm up the plastic tab before trying to bend it. If it's cold it will break much easier.

You are going to want to order real soon as there have been threads about the Pro Grille going up in price.
