It's stock except for the Trac Rac and DU seat covers _-:)
Hi yall.... my first Tacoma and my first Toyota since my Toylet (83 Toyota Starlet)...
My taco is new to me. It's a base model access 4x4 with 16,000 miles on it. It's all original and in perfect shape. I'm replacing the steel wheels, adding a step up, adding racks (I carry canoes) and will put Bilstein's on the rear.
It replaces a truck that I truly love, a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge Super Cab 4x4. The Ranger is getting a bit long in the tooth at 180,000 miles...it hit a deer last year (hard...what a tough truck) and has been shot with bird shot (low duck). It's pretty much rust free and doesn't burn oil. My wife and I tow a small trailer that we want to haul out West...I worry about doing that with a 16 year old ride.
We had been planning to by a new truck this year and stumbled into this low miles taco. Ford hasn't brought a mid sized truck to market and although it's coming, I don't like the looks of it....I like a long bed truck. It's a truck not a shopping cart! Taco it is.....
Our plan had been to pick up a 2017 taco...but we both dislike their looks....
Anyway, here we are...our first Toyota in a real long time...

I do most my own work on my vehicles so I'll be asking some questions and poking around here.
My first job is to move the brake controller from my Ranger over to the Toyota. It has a hitch kit so I guess I need to start looking for the cable end to plug the wire harness into... after that I plan to install the alloy wheels I just picked up...

Then...late goose season..I'll fill it with Dekes and head out into the muck.

    Cheers!

    Mack
