Pretty easy. I think there are 4-6 screws on each. Once those are out, slowly pull the flares away from the fenders. The blue and orange clips will begin to pop out. No matter how careful you are, you are going to break some clips. I bought replacements from NAPA at a fraction of what the dealer wanted. The adhesive tape that seals the fender to the flag will also be ruined once you peel them off.

The dealer broke a clip. .... they are going to get a new one and repaint it..... however i don't like aftermarket paint as it is never the same

Yes langley. Here is a pic.. it looks like maybe I could get to re clip back in?? Or super double sided tape? It would save more time at the dealer and save everyone money

What are they exactly painting? Just the clip? In that case who cares.

They said the clip is broken so I need a whole new fender flare....
I can see this part of the clip so now I'm seeing if anyone has ideas to re secure it down....

Is the mounting hole for the clip on the flare broken or just the actual clip? If it's the actual clip and not the mounting hole/area, all you need is a new clip. Why would they replace a whole flare for that?

It might be where it clips into as I can see the tab from the fender........

It's got me confused.. the dealership sub contracts out body work. ..I might swing by a body shop and see what they say vs the dealer.......

Yeah something sounds wrong. Get a 2nd opinion if you can't figure out where it's broken yourself.

Just throwing this out there, but perhaps now might be the perfect time to switch over to the black fender flares that come on the OR and TRD Pro?

No paint to worry about and they look better.

I'm sure you might be able to talk the dealer into buying you two of them as it would be about the same cost as to paint and replace one.

    Just a thought.

I've found that the flat black o/r flares tend to scratch way to easily. My painted flares on my 08 didn't scratch at all not to mention if you did get a small/minor scratch you could generally buff it out.
